Sending heartfelt thoughts of sympathy to Kathy and family. Being neighbours for years ,sharing the baseball field for the summer season great memories. Oh so many waves and hellos but the laughs all Larry. Beckys first job at the meat shop and Andrew’s first truck highlights for us but his family was his highlight. Lions auction when live was always a good chuckle when he had the microphone. Rest in peace our friend. Bert, Cindy, Becky, Andrew and Brian Pascuzzo.

This is a truly beautiful obituary for a one of a kind person. My heart aches for you Kathy, Hayley, Trevor, Stephanie and Samantha as well as for your children. How lucky were they to have had Larry as their Papa! The world does not seem right without this wonderful person in it. I've never met anyone like Larry and I never will. Rest in sweetest peace Larry. Until we meet again I'll toast you every time the Leafs win. Well, maybe I'll need to do it a little more often than that! Rest assured, you will never, ever be forgotten. With love and most heartfelt sympathy, Steve, Lynne, Lexie and Meghan Irwin

To have a friend like Larry was a unique gift. To have that friendship for as long as we did, I can only be thankful. Though Leigh and I will miss not being in his company, we will cherish the years of memories and laughter we shared.
He was my best friend, always there through life’s joys and sorrows. Visits with Larry and Kathy were always a celebration, whether we had something in life to celebrate or just for the sake of spending time together.
There will be less laughter in our lives and I will miss him asking Leigh if he and I could split one more beer before we go.
Thank you for your friendship. Our love and hugs to Kathy, Hayley, Samantha,Trevor, Stephanie and all the grandkids. We will see you soon and raise a glass to Larry.
Love Mike & Leigh

He would remember things from the last time we saw him. He would always stop and say Hi when in for an oil change and make sure things were going well with the vehicle. He showed he cared about his Customers by doing this and just inquiring on things when we saw each other. Always spoke about something of the family and you knew he was a dedicated family man. The VanEngelen & Edwards families send our deepest sympathies, thoughts and prayers to Larry's entire family.
My Mom (Pat Edwards) who catered to the Strathroy Lions for over 30 years absolutely adored Larry and the feeling was mutual from Larry. My girls and I got to know Larry so well when we helped Mom cater to "her boys" at the Strathroy Lions. His passing would break her heart if she was still with us. He was always checking in on us, wondering what was happening in our lives with genuine interest. We all grew to adore him as well.
I had the pleasure of buying my first new vehicle in a long time in August 2020 from Larry. All I had to do was call him and he told me to come right in. He found my the vehicle and I love it. I will think of him always as I drive my Traverse.

He and Kathy always made you feel like family and made those trips so much fun! I am grateful to have met Larry and even more grateful to spend the afternoon with him and Kathy recently. People like Larry make this world a better place. Honesty, Integrity, Family were always his priority and it shows by how loved he was. A kind soul taken way too soon. Jen Gibson posted a condolence
Tuesday, April 27, 2021
Growing up just around the corner, I spent a lot of time in the McKillop's household. Sometimes TOO much. I'll never forget one morning Hayley and I were sitting at the kitchen table (probably for the second morning in a row), my spoonful of cereal halfway to my mouth, and Larry came down into the kitchen, took one look at me and casually said "Jen go home" before continuing with morning routine.
So many of my memories of Larry involved me and the family sitting around that same table, making jokes and laughing heartily, debating some hot topic with great vigour and passion, or just listening as Larry told us all a damn good story. I remember spending one New Year's with the McKillops, Larry called my mom to make sure it was alright to enjoy a glass of champagne with the family at midnight. He wanted to make me feel included. Even if I occasionally overstayed my welcome, Larry always made me feel like part of the family.
This was no exception as Hayley and I got older. I got invited to a McKillop family beach day and when I came home for the wedding it was a though no time had passed. I'm so grateful I got to see him when Hayley reached out about a family trip to Toronto a few years ago, and I got to really see Larry as 'Papa'. It was pretty clear being 'Papa' was one of his true callings in life. That day we all went out for drinks, shared some laughs, and again, it felt like no time had passed.
Larry was welcoming, fun, and always the life of the party. He loved his family fiercely and was always deeply immersed in the community. Seriously, just an epic guy. He will be missed.
P.S. Larry, if you are reading this from heaven, I'm really sorry for filling up your answering machine tape that one summer. I've grown, I swear. <3
