We were saddened to learn of Mr. Baker’s passing. We have fond memories of him over the many years we have known the Baker/Wilson family. Our thoughts are with you all during this time. It was an honour and a pleasure when we tagged along with Dad on Friday evening so you two could place your bet on the Saturday/Sunday rounds of the weekend tournament. It didn’t matter which one of us tagged along-we always got a drink from the bar (an age appropriate drink, except for maybe Aaron?) Mr. and Mrs. Baker always made us feel welcome.
He will be dearly missed.

My sincere condolences to the Baker family. I have many great memories as a young girl with Joycie and Derek. Our little visits with a pop in the basement at their home. He was an amazing soul. R.I.P Derek you will be missed.

He repaired and old 3 iron that I still carry in my golf bag. At the time- because I am a lefty -he admitted it was not likely to improve my game- he was right!

My deepest sympathies in the loss of your beloved father, grandfather. Although I did not personally know Derek ironically Covid-19 brought us together. When we all went into lockdown and St John's church closed to services we took our parish list and divided amongst a few people to call everyone on that list. With luck I got your father, I enjoyed our little chats from time to time as I checked in with him. May God bless and comfort you and your family.
