Lori, Leslie & Joe,
I was so sad to hear about the passing of your mom. My deepest condolences. When I moved to London for work they told me "this job is only going to work if you get along with Dorothy Vaughan". Well I had no idea what to expect. Within the first five minutes of speaking to Dorothy she made me laugh and continued to do so for many years to come. She was kind and compassionate and my life is better for knowing her. I will always treasure the laughs we shared. I proudly display one of her beautiful quilts in my home. She loved her family more than anything and loved going on trips. She will be missed by many. Rest in Peace Dorothy.

To Leslie, Lori and Joe the world lost 2 beautiful souls that day. We choose to believe that Dorothy's last gesture was to take Jo by the hand and walk with her on their final journey. That was your mom, always kind, always thinking of others, always putting you girls first. Dorothy loved you and she loved the family time meals, trips, and card games. You've always had the special memories, now they will be your greatest treasures. We mourn with you. RIP Dorothy until we meet again...we'll bring the Tetley Tea.

Dear Lori, Leslie and Joe:
I was saddened to see that your Mom, (and Mother-in-Law) passed away. I hadn't seen Dorothy for a number of years, but every time I drove past her apartment building on Colborne, I thought of her. As you know, I took over Dorothy's position at Reed Stenhouse, and in the 4 months we worked together before she retired, it was evident I had big shoes to fill. I always marvelled at her memory, and if she couldn't remember something, it was surely written down on a stack of little torn off pieces of paper that she had saved to make notes on. She was a no nonsense lady, you knew exactly where you stood with her, and so did the clients. She was so proud of the three of you, and always looked forward to and enjoyed the trips you took together.
May the memories you have of your Mom, and the love and support of Family and friends, provide comfort at this difficult time.

I'm sorry to learn that my friend Dorothy will no longer be available to share her wisdom and give guidance as she did for me when we were members of the Thames Valley Quilt Guild. As I was very new to holding an executive position I knew that a call to Dorothy would show me the right way forward - help that was so appreciated. Dear Leslie, Lori and Joe,
I'm so sorry to hear about your mom. I know how close the four of you were, so know what a tremendous loss this is for you. I also know that you will have many great memories of her, whether it be the trips you took together, the card games at home, her great cooking or the many laughs that you had. You always had such great times together and whatever the situation, your mom could always see the funny side of things. The one thing that I especially remember is how proud she was of all of you.
