Tante Alie is my Dad's sister. I have fond memories of staying at Tante Alie's home on the farm, for a week each summer, during my childhood. Tante Alie was a happy easy going person, with a warm smile and also very smart. The last time I was able to see her, my sister Carol Ann and I went for coffee with her at the Portuguese Bakery in Strathroy. She will be missed and fondly remembered. Dear Janssen's family: As we are out of town and not able to attend the visitation/service, Ralph and I wanted to send our sincere condolences with the loss of your loved one. She was much loved by her church community and we esteemed her as matriarch of our church. Ralph looked up to her especially as Alie & John were good friends of his parents. In recent years, we really enjoyed our chats with her to & from church services in the winter months. We know that she is now with her Saviour in a heavenly place!
