John and family, I am so sorry to hear of this devastating loss. My deepest condolences to you all. I had the privilege to be one of Janet's yoga instructors and I loved having her in my class. She lit up the room and loved her practice of yoga and being surrounded by like-minded people. I heard the news and it saddened me deeply. The people that shared yoga class with her thought the world of her and we as a group will be sending healing vibes to you and your family. Rest in the sweetest of peace Janet. The light in me bows to the light in you...Namaste.

Ton so very sorry to hear about Janet...she was such a wonderful person! She was also a gifted artist and I had the pleasure of seeing her work online. When I think of her I think of lots of laughs. My favourite memory takes me back to October 1987 when a group of us went to see the Jays/Tigers AL championship at Tiger Stadium and stayed at the Hyatt Regency in Dearborn (forgive me if I have some of the facts wrong Janet, Sue and myself were sitting together at one of the games (the Tigers swept if I remember correctly) and one of the drink peddlers was going thru the stands chanting the same thing over and over 'Ice cold Coke beep beep beep' 'beep beep beep Ice cold Coke' For some reason that set the 3 of us off like firecrackers...we could NOT stop laughing and it got worse every time we heard it...I know it doesn't sound that funny (you had to be there) but I will never forget it and in the years since every time I had the opportunity to spend time with Janet that inevitably came up in conversation...even though I have not seen her in a long time I will still treasure my memories of her and time spent together...love and hugs to you Ton. Take care of yourself.

I am so sorry to hear this! Janet was a painting buddy, coming to more than one art retreat on the farm. She was a multi talented artist. I have many memories of Janet but the one I want to share is the night she stayed in our cabin during a weekend retreat. It was summer time and the lights were on in the cabin. When the cabin door opened, the mosquitoes moved in! I don't think she had a minutes sleep that night and it was the last time she stayed in the cabin. After that, Mary Ann's guest room looked most inviting. I will miss having art chats with her. I am so happy to have two of her paintings! My sympathy goes to her entire family.
