Deb and I have many fond memories of our times spent with Bill and Annie. We met in Holland, Arizona, Minnesota, Alabama and mostly in Canada during our visits there. Bill was always the life of the party. While in Alabama I remember him dancing in the living room with our then baby girl. Annie always quiet and caring and just a wonderful lady. I know they will be missed by all of those that knew them. We deeply regret not being able to attend the funeral but know you all are in our thoughts and prayers. They had a wonderful life together and are now both together once again smiling down on us all. Deb & Willie VanDuynhoven and family

Perry, Jack, Ray, Norma, Lesley and families, We are very saddened to hear of your Dad’s passing. He was such a character, always building something, doling out sage advice, and cracking jokes. Our parents enjoyed playing cards and sharing many meals together over the years. We have many fond memories of visiting your family at the Apple Farm where there was always lots of fun to be had. Mr. Vandongen was my Grade 9 homeroom teacher. In those days - everyone reported to a homeroom each morning for the entire year, and we were sorted alphabetically - and not by grade! I remember I met my best friend in that homeroom, and it was likely the only time I was ever in the shop throughout high school. I remember a quiet, soft-spoken man who could command the crowd with his gentle humour and direction. He put up with homeroom shenanigans like a champ, and left us prepared to take on the day.
