Obituary of Grant Stephenson

It is with great sadness the family of Grant Stephenson announces his passing on June 22nd, 2023 at the age of 92. Loving husband of the late Edith Stephenson. Cherished father of Kenneth Stephenson, Doris (late George) Kalbfleisch, Marvin (Sherry) Stephenson, Raymond (Ceu) Stephenson, Carl (Sue Anne) Stephenson, Brian Stephenson and Marion (Jeff) Rose. Proud Grandpa of David, Sherrie, Darryl, Jason, Tricia, Adam, Stacey, Drew, Marie, William, Matthew, Aaron, Matthew, Michael, Jessica, Clay, Nathan, Branson and Sheldon. He will be fondly remembered by many great grandchildren. Predeceased by his sister Doreen Douglas. Special friend of Dorothy Borges. He will be greatly missed by many extended family members and friends.

Grant was born in Metcalfe Township and lived his whole life there.  He married Edith Douglas on October 10, 1952 and they enjoyed 46 years together.  He farmed together with his dad and also did home improvements and became well known in the community.  He was saved at a young age and loved the Lord and reading his Bible.  He attended church faithfully and taught Sunday school over the years.   

A visitation will take place on Tuesday, June 27^th, 2023 at DENNING’S OF STRATHROY from 10:00am until time of funeral service at 11:00am. Interment to follow at Strathroy Cemetery.
