Obituary of Kathryn Elizabeth Whiting

It is with heavy hearts the family of Kathryn Whiting announces her passing on June 22, 2023 at Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital at the age of 77. Loving mother of David (Rachel) Whiting and Heather (Bill) McMahon. Proud granny of Owen, Brody and Cole Whiting and Jamie and Kyle McMahon. Predeceased by her cherished partner Bob Rose. Sister of Jim (Ellen) Johnson and Bob (Vera) Johnson. She will be greatly missed by the Rose family, and many extended family members and friends.

Kathryn had a passion to travel, she loved visiting various countries and places. Traveling to Peru, Dubai, Italy and Ireland to name a few, as well as partaking in many cruises is something Kathryn cherished. Kathryn’s huge heart expanded even bigger when she became a Granny. Her kids and grandkids were her everything. Being social was a big part of Kathryn’s life, she enjoyed spending time with her friends, whether it was traveling, hosting a tea party, or simply enjoying their company. Kathryn was a teacher for many years, she taught in a developmental education program which was something she was very proud of. Kathryn’s kindness will be missed by all who knew her.

A visitation will take place on Thursday, June 29th, 2023 at DENNING’S OF STRATHROY from 11:00am until time of memorial service at 1:00pm.
