To Ves, Jason, Charlene & Families...
You'll recall we all met working at Mag Products. Marie was receiving 'experimental' treatments for cancer at that time.
The treatments (being experimental) were costly, so many of the employees donated their OT earnings to help. I was working in payroll so I had the job of sorting this out (over several pay dates). It was amazing to see how many donated. Some gave more than once. Others gave & they didn't even know Marie at the time.
After beating that cancer, Marie came to work at Mag too, and everyone soon knew who she was.
As her co worker I can honestly say she had a great work ethic & attitude. I don't ever recall her having any self pity moments. She was a good employee that was a lot of fun to work with.
The last time I talked (texted) with Marie was a couple of days before her last surgery & a month before my hip replacement surgery. True to character Marie only wanted to talk about my hip, not her upcoming surgery.
So not just because you were one of the few families that were on the Mag Prods payroll, but for many reasons, I will always remember Marie as one of the toughest yet kindest cancer survivor I have ever known.
I am sure that you guys had a lot to do with that.
Now, the very best thing you can do is to lean on each other (like you let Marie lean on you) as you all learn to live life without her.
You are all in my thoughts & prayers

Hi Charlene and Family, just wanted to say I am so sorry to hear your beloved Mom and Friend has passed away. This is just so sad for everyone. I always enjoyed my chats with her and admired her strength and courage so much. She was so nice to me always on Fair Island and especially on our trip...she was the best to me and Dave. She welcomed us there with wide open arms and made us feel so special and included. I will never forget that. May God give you all the strength to accept what we cannot change and to go with all your special and precious memories as you go forward in life. She will always be with you and you will never ever forget her. RIP beautiful special Marie. I am so glad we got to know you for awhile here on this earth.
