Obituary of Miguel Moniz Vieira

It is with heavy hearts that the family announces the passing of Miguel Moniz Vieira on July 26, 2023 at the age of 83. Beloved husband of the late Luisa Vieira (2004). Cherished father of Liseta (late Paulo) Simas. Proud Avô to Stephanie (Mattew) Costa and Jessica Simas (Joshua Moody). Great grandpa of the late Quentin Costa (2023) and Nova Moody. He will be fondly remembered by many extended family members and friends.

Miguel loved to put a smile on his family’s faces, he was always joking and being silly.  He lived in the Strathroy community for over 40 years, he loved his community. He was a very nice person, always willing to lend a helping hand. He will be missed by all who knew him.

A Visitation will take place at DENNING’S OF STRATHROY on July 31^st, 2023 from 3:00-5:00pm and 6:30 - 8:00pm.  A Mass of Christian Burial will take place the following day on August 1^st , 2023 at All Saints Roman Catholic Church at 11:00am. Interment to follow at All Saints Cemetery. A Luncheon to follow at Tia’s Place. As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
