Obituary of Geraldine Burk

Geraldine Peggy Burk (nee Tremblay) was born and raised in Conklin, Alberta to her parents Dumase and Mary Tremblay September 22^nd, 1959.  Gerrie stayed in Conklin until she had her 2 wonderful children, Carmen and Louie Burk whom she loved and adored with all her heart. Gerrie was loved and adored by many including her 2 grandchildren Grace and Anthony Rafla, whom she was very proud of and loved dearly. Gerrie was the sister of Russell, Robbie, Ernie, Violet, Delores, Agnes, Shirley, and Sherry.

Gerrie was a very caring and helpful lady.  She would give the shirt off her back if she had to, she had a very big and kind heart!  Gerrie was given a nickname (Maskwa) which means Bear in our Cree language, and it sure came out when she was upset!  Especially when it came to family.

Gerrie left Conklin to find a new life which took her to Ontario.  In her final days she was cared for at Sprucedale Care Centre in Strathroy.  This is where I (Agnes) came to be with her in her final days of passing on October 8^th, 2023.

I (Agnes) was Gerrie’s go to sister.  She would call me every day, sometimes 3 to 4 times a day, but I didn’t mind at all.  I’m sure going to miss those calls.  My dear sister, fly high with the angels and creator.  Rest easy, love and miss you dearly.
