Obituary of Grant Gordon Ladell

Peacefully surrounded by his family, at St. Joseph’s Hospice on Monday, October 16^th, 2023 in his 92^nd year. Predeceased by his parents Frank and Marian Ladell and his brother David Ladell. Survived by his brother Ross (Pat) Ladell. Loving husband of Glenna (nee Sawyer) for over 58 years. Caring father of Vivian (Chris), Brenda, John (Carolin), and Mary Ann (Jim). Proud grandpa/papa of 14 grandchildren, Maureen (Scott), Andrea (Jason), Carmen (Steven), Charlie (Cassandra), Meta, Walter (Charlee), Henry, Samuel, Maddie (Blake), Logan, Courtney (Brandon), Jessica (Brad), Ainsley, and Addison. Great-papa (GG) of 5 with 2 on the way.

Grant was born April 9^th, 1932, on the family farm that he worked on for most of his life milking Guernsey cows. Later in life, Grant and Glenna travelled the world, which he thoroughly enjoyed. Toy trains were his favourite hobby, along with growing Hubbard squash. He especially loved spending his time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was always up for a good pizza party with his family. Attending Poplar Hill Baptist Church was very important to Grant.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 20^th, 2023 at 1:00p.m. at the Poplar Hill Baptist Church, Poplar Hill. There will be a private burial at a later time. For those who wish, donations may be made in lieu of flowers, to St. Joseph’s Hospice of London or the Parkinson Society of Canada.
