Bev gave me an example of who I wanted to be as a person in my adolescent years- someone who is unapologetically loving, an open heart with kindness of no bounds. Thank you Bev for touching my life and everyone who had the honor to meet you.

I was so sorry to read of Bev’s passing. For many years I waited on Bev at the CIBC and she was always smiling and pleasant. She usually had a child or two in tow and was always on the run but Bev also seemed to know where she had to be and what she had to do next. She was a busy lady involved with numerous good causes. My sympathy to her family and friends.

Our deepest condolences to your family, on the sudden and very unexpected passing of Bev, we were all in total disbelieve because we didn't know anything until I seen Bev’s picture and then seen it was attached to her obituary....we are still trying to wrap our minds about everything...our hearts are breaking for your whole family.
Katie, Jacob and family please remember that you have 64…. almost 65 years worth of full stories, adventures, memories of Bev (a daughter, sister, aunt, wife, mother, grandma, Canadian Armed Forces instructor (with the Cadet Instructor Cadre), foster family / parent to youth, founding member of Peacekeeper Park and their Adventure Camp, friend, coworker, neighbour) and so much more that became treasured keepsake that no one will ever be able to change or take away from you; keep all these wonderful moments/ memories close to you... each and everyday of your life's Bast family. Just remember just because Bev isn't here in person doesn't mean she's not around you, it just means that she is in closest place possible in your life's....and that place is in your hearts. During this difficult time, walking down memory lane with memories and stories is the best medicine to help you. Along with being at peace knowing Bev is now free from everything she was working through. We are all going miss her sense of humor and her unforgettable laugh it was contagious, and she always had a smile on her face at all time no matter what was going on at the time usually. We all have so many wonderful memories of your Mom, Jacob and you taking part in the Remembrance Day Ceremonies over the year’s growing up at Southdale.
Katie, Jacob and family I’m sure your hearts are aching; I just want you to know that my whole family is thinking of your family as you work through the upcoming days and weeks, with everything going on.

We were very sorry to learn of Bev's passing. She had a huge influence on our son Jacob when he was in cadets. She encouraged him to take up the rifle, and he experienced much success under her tutelage, even making it to Connaught for a summer. None of that would have happened without her steadfast encouragement and support. We are keeping her and all of her loved ones in our thoughts and prayers in the days ahead.

I was an army cadet for seven years and worked closely with Bev and her children. She was an amazing human being and has left a huge contribution to the cadet program and thousands of Canadian youth. Many of the things Bev taught me when I was in Cadets I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

Perry and kids. We are so incredibly saddened by the news of Bev’a passing. It always seemed like Bev was superwoman, she was always on the go doing something. She was extremely proud to be a grandmother. She will definitely leave a void in many people’s lives ours included.
