Obituary of Dorland Alexander Clark
Clark, Dorland Alexander “Dorlie”
It is with broken hearts the family announces the unexpected passing of Dorland Clark on January 9th, 2024 at the age of 84. Beloved husband of Sharon Clark of 65 special and cherished years. Loving father of Sherri (Manuel) Silva, Kim (Rick) Ferguson, Denise (Mike) Hooper, and Tracey Clark. Proud Grandpa and Great- Grandpa of Miranda (Mitch) deBoer; Hunter & Clark deBoer, Chanda (Luke) Mohns; Russell, Vincent, & Everley Mohns, Amanda (Brandon) Shepherd; Alexis, Brinley & Benjamin Shepherd, Chad (Andrina) Silva; Amore Silva, Brent (Carla) Silva; Alex, Leo Silva & baby girl on the way in May, Tyler Ferguson, Alex (Shawn) Grogan; Lennon Grogan, and Natalie Sunn.
Son of the late Alex and Violet Clark. Survived by his sisters Faye (Hazen) LeBritton and Marlyce Heuvel; in-laws Len & Marta Smith, Karen Smith, and Bob Butler. Predeceased by his brothers Derril (Val) Mann, Raymond Mann and in-laws Diane Butler and Lawrence Smith.
Dorlie was the true family man - Sharon being the love of his life and his 4 girls and their families brought him immeasurable pride & joy.
Dorley was a very dedicated and distinquished lifelong member of the Strathroy Lion’s Club. He was an extremely well respected builder within Strathroy and surrounding communities. Dorlie took great pride in his work and loved to celebrate the friendships that he built along the way. He had a huge impact on many, and will be truly missed.
Visitation will take place on Sunday, January 14th, 2024, from 12:00p.m.2:00p.m. at Denning’s of Strathroy. A Lions Club service will be held at the funeral home at 2:00p.m. with the funeral to follow at 2:30p.m. A celebration of Dorlie’s life will continue in the Caradoc Room at Denning’s of Strathroy, where everyone is welcome to continue to share their memories. As expressions of sympathy, and in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Strathroy Lion’s Club or the Canadian Cancer Society.
