Obituary of Luis Alberto Ponte

Peacefully with his family by his side after a courageous battle, Luis Alberto Ponte passed away at Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital on February 26, 2024, at the age of 73. Luis was the loving husband of Flavia Ponte for 51 cherished years. He was the proud father of Mike (Paula) Ponte, Danny Ponte, Luis (Sara) Ponte, and Lina (Les) Kalman. Luis was the beloved Vovô of Noah, Ben, Lucas, Max, and Lyla. Luis is survived by his sister Herminia. Luis was predeceased by his siblings Modesta, Jose, and Carlos.

Luis loved his family dearly, especially his grandchildren. Gardening and spending time outdoors was when he was his happiest. One of Luis’ most favourite things was storytelling. He loved to talk and share his wisdom with anyone who would listen.

Visitation will be held at DENNING’S OF STRATHROY on Wednesday February 28, 2024, from 5:00pm until 8:00pm. Visitation will continue on Thursday February 29, 2024, from 9:30am until 10:30am. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday at All Saints Roman Catholic Church at 11:00am. Burial to follow at All Saints Cemetery.
