We were sorry to hear of Jake’s (Little Jack) passing. He was always a friendly face and great neighbour. I remember Jake’s kindness, his humour and his artistic flare. I remember in grade 8 at S.S. #6, he drew a nearly perfect, detailed map of Canada in black ink. As a first or second grader, I was amazed at his artistic ability. To the Lenders family; Lots of fun memories attending S.S.#6 Lobo Township Shipley School with Jake. Going to a one room school, we made our own fun and enjoyed the Christmas concerts, playing baseball with other area schools and especially attending the Poplar Hill Picnic where we would practice marching up and down Greystead Drive to participate in the Poplar Hill Picnic parade. My sincerest sympathies to Joe and Jake's family. I remember hearing stories when Jake visited family and the fun times he had travelling. I have fond memories of Jake sharing details of his life adventures with Joe. I could tell how grateful he was to be able to live with the love of his life. I enjoyed working near Jake and appreciated his caring attitude with a no nonsense manner with the clients that he served. My regrets that I'm unable to attend Jake's service this Saturday as I have a family commitment out of town. ❤️

Jake always managed to mix caring compassion with forthrightness in all of his dealings.with clients, coworkers and friends. Jake loved gardening and cooking and did both with a master's touch. Rest in peace, friend. May peace also be with you, Joe.
