There has never been a bigger personality, with as much energetic spirit as there was when we at STM Display Sales shared an office with Jim. It was a genuine honour to have him on our team - no greater definition of a classic salesman whose true strength was listening, building and fostering relationships. We learned so much, and his is a noticeable absence. Our sincerest of condolences to Jim's family.

Diana...so sorry to hear of Jimbo's passing. Receipt of the news yesterday triggered fond memories, albeit from 45 years ago! Softball with the Suntours gang, weekend with the guys in Grand Bend and weekends at my folks cottage in Torrance. He was a funny man and a real prince of a guy. He'll be missed.

Diana... Just read in the Age Dispatch today of Jim's passing. I know I haven't seen you or any of your family for a very long time, but I have many happy and fun memories of our work, play times and what good care you always gave to Tiffany and Shannon when I needed someone I could trust to watch them. After being married to Jim for so long, this will be such a difficult time and adjustment for you. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Like me, I am sure your grandchildren will be of special comfort. Be brave, my old Strathroy friend... Linda Pretty

Diana & The Ford Family. So sorry to hear of Jim’s passing. The last time I saw Jim was when I was on one of my visits back from California. Jim popped in while I was visiting his Dad Henry. Such a pleasant surprise, and a lot to catch up on. That must have been over 20 years ago. Jim was such a great guy. First met him in the late 70’s when the “scumsuckers” were still a force. There were summers at Grand Bend & winters in Collingwood. So many wonderful memories. I have been back now for over 19 years, but don’t see any of my old Strathroy friends. Jim will be missed by so many. Hold your memories close, there were so many great times.

To Diana and entire Ford family. We have fond memories of the Ford family in Strathroy when we were neighbors on Victoria Streert.. A large, happy, and loving family. Jim and I worked together for the Wright Shelving Company, in Strathroy and also after Jim relocated to the Toronto office. We shared many great times and meals together. Jim was not only a dedicated, hard working team member, but the life of any party or gathering he attended. That great smile, and hearty laugh made him a friend of everyone instantly. We did tease him a lot when he first sprounted the mustash, but he never gave it up and good for him!
Thoughts and prayers to Diana and family in this time of sadness and loss.
Kern and Linda Dunsmore.

Jim would always have an entertaining story to share when I dropped off the mail. Sometimes he would flag me down on my new route to keep me up to date on the comings and goings from the best street in the neighborhood. Jim and Diana were two reasons Heather Ave was a treat to deliver on.
Best Regards,
Postie Dave

Diana and Jim’s entire family, I’m so very sorry to hear about his passing. I just saw Jim in March at Ron (Weasel) Cadman’s Celebration of Life for the first time in many years! We had a short visit and a good laugh over a couple of things that happened back in the day. I’ll forever remember Jim as a great guy who was always smiling and I’m so glad I had the chance to see him again.
With my sincere condolences.
