Obituary of Lawrence Howard Lalone
Lalone, Larry
It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Larry Lalone at the age of 71.
He was the devoted and loving husband of Prudence for 48 years. Beloved father of Sarah (Eli), and Emily (Eric). Proud grandfather of 4 children who swelled his heart with joy: Samuel, Henry, Howard and Fran. He also leaves behind a large and loving family in the US who will miss him deeply.
A fierce protector and upstander, Larry devoted his life to serving people in need. He cared for those suffering through addictions and mental illness as a Psychotherapist and pioneer in his field where he developed unique approaches to counseling. He spent the latter years in his career educating health care providers that worked with these vulnerable people and their families in the community. Lastly, he enjoyed the opportunity to learn about the indigenous cultures of Southern Ontario where he provided counseling. He made a measurable difference to a countless number of lives.
He was a unique individual who impacted all those that he met. He possessed a well-developed sense of humour, an amazing depth of knowledge, and his love knew no bounds. His absence leaves incredible holes that cannot be filled. He worked hard as a matter of principle and died doing what he enjoyed: working on the farm with his wife by his side.
