Sylvia was so easy to talk to. I admired her positive attitude, kind and caring demeanor, and her thoughtfulness. She will be terribly missed by everyone who knew her. May she rest in peace with the angels. Our thoughts and prayers and strength are with Jim especially, and also with Dan, Amanda, Michael and Marne and all of her close family and friends. Love, Joanna, Andrew, Chiara and Giulia.

Sylvia was one of the most beautiful ladies I have ever known, inside and out.
She was a thoughtful, welcoming, kind person; she wrote some of the nicest cards I've ever received.
Her Christmas traditions will be sorely missed although we find console knowing that some will be carried on by her children. The best shortbread, minced meat tarts and fruit cake. It was obvious that she was rooted in tradition and understood the value of time and effort to loved ones.
She was a gracious hostess, who made you feel welcome. She was easy to talk to and get along with. When she prepared a party, you knew that everything would be taken care of to the highest standard.
Her stories of travels around the world were always packed with adventure, I really thought she should have written a book or two.
She was an excellent listener, very respectful and supportive of her family and friends. We shared some of life's most important celebrations.
We were not ready to say goodbye and so, until we meet again, Sylvia.

We had the pleasure of meeting Sylvia several times at Dan and Amanda's home. She was a wonderful conversationalist and all round lovely person. She always had something interesting to share and listened as well as she spoke. Blessings to her family as she transitions into the next phase of her existence. Love will always remain. Cherish your memories until one day when you are all together again. Sending love to the family.
