Obituary of Gordon Collins

At Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital on Tuedsday, December 9, 2003. Gordon George (Gordy) Collins of Strathroy in his 80th year. Dear brother of Mary Hodgins and Nora Book of Strathroy; also survived by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Alexander (Kruger) Collins and Flora Collins, sisters Lillian Hicks and Ola Giles. Gordy served with the Royal Canadian Navy during WW II where he saw active duty from 1942 to 1945 and was a life member (60 years) of Sir Arthur Currie Branch #116 Strathroy. Resting at the Denning Bros Funeral Home, Ltd. 32 Metcalfe St. W., Strathroy where the funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 11 at 1 pm with Rev. Charles Seed officiating. Interment Strathroy Cemetery. Donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital Foundation would be appreciated by the family. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 2 pm to 4 pm and 7 pm to 9 pm. A legion memorial service will be held at the funeral home Wednesday, December 10 at 7 pm.
