Obituary of Grietje VanderDuim

At Sprucedale Care Centre, Strathroy on Wednesday, December 12, 2012, Grace VanderDuim passed away, in her 98th year. Beloved wife of the late Hendrik "Henk" VanderDuim (2006). Loving mother of Ida Traxler of Strathroy and Hessel VanderDuim and his wife Judi of Owen Sound. Loved grandmother of Brian and Anne Traxler, Karem and Mark Kalin, Chad, Adam, Karin, and Erik VanderDuim. Great-grandmother of Sam and Sarah Traxler, and Walker and Nate Kalin. Survived by a sister Ida VanBolhuis in Holland and many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Predeceased by her parents, 12 siblings and an infant son. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at the Strathroy United Church on Thursday, January 3, 2013 at 1 p.m. with visitation to be held 1 hour prior. Interment to follow in Strathroy Cemetery. In memory of Grace, donations may be made to the Alzheimers Society, the Sprucedale Family Council or the Strathroy United Church.
