Obituary of George Colgan

Passed away peacefully at Sprucedale Care Centre, Strathroy on Tuesday, August 27, 2013 in his 85th year. Born in Strathroy, Ontario, George was the beloved husband of Jean. Loving father of Beth O'Brien (Dan) of Oshawa and Ted of London. Loving grandfather of Patrick (Kelly), Jaci (Brandon), Andrew and Jeff. Survived by his brother-in-law George Parkin, sister-in-laws Isabel Murray and Ginette McGilvery. Predeceased by his brother Bill Colgan. Friends and family will be received at DENNING BROS. FUNERAL HOME, STRATHROY, on Friday, August 30th from 11:00 am until the time of the funeral service at 1:00 pm with Dr. Rev. Brian McKenzie officiating. Interment to follow in Strathroy Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stoke Foundation or the Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital Foundation. A tree will be planted as a living memorial to George.
