Peacefully with family by her side on Thursday, November 28, 2013 at Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital, Agnes Marie Norris (nee Moore) passed away on her 91st birthday. Loving wife of the late George D. Norris (1991). Dear mother of Ron Norris of London, Judy (Edward) Walsh of London and Gerry (Lori) Norris of Strathroy. Loving grandmother to Devin, Ryan and Iain Walsh, all of London. Step grandmother to Amiel Houghton-Seaton (John) of St. Thomas and Ashley Houghton of London. Great grandmother to Bloom and Juno. Sadly missed by her sisters Doris Sudicky of London, Dorothy Nesbit (Hugh) of Dorchester and brother Edward "Ted" Moore of Strathroy. Forever remembered by many nieces and nephews. Special Aunt to Donna (Glenn) Thomson. Predeceased by sisters Jean Watson, Vie Morrison and Hazel Moore, brothers Donald Moore, Lewis Moore, Howard Moore and Robert Moore. Agnes was most known for her independence, love of family and love for her canine companions. Agnes joined the Lorna Rebekah Lodge in West Lorne in 1948 and later the Lady Howard Rebekah Lodge in Strathroy. During this time she was proud to have served a term as President of the Rebekah Assembly of Ontario. She was also an active member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Royal Canadian Legion. She was an avid fan of the London Knights hockey team and skated with the team when she was in her eighties at a "Skate With The Knights" event. Agnes worked many years as a Registered Nursing Assistant at Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, December 3rd at the Sir Arthur Currie, Branch 116 of the Royal Canadian Legion, 266 Metcalfe Street West, Strathroy, from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to the London Humane Society. Online condolences accepted at www.deningfuneralhomes.com. A tree will be planted as a living memorial to Agnes.
