Obituary of Ida Westerhof

Peacefully went to be with the Lord on Sunday, January 19, 2014 at Strathmere Lodge, Strathroy in her 93rd year. Beloved wife of the late Jacob Westerhof (2012) for 63 years. Loving mother of Henry (Elizabeth) Westerhof of Hamilton, Fred (Shirley) Westerhof of Strathroy, Greta (the late John) Vanderwekken of Victoria B.C. Albert (Suzanna) Westerhof of Komoka and Annie (Tom) Rickwood of St. Thomas. Survived by 15 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Sadly missed by sisters-in-law Tine Luinstra, Riek Luinstra, Minke Plieger, Nanny Westerhof and brother-in-law Jan (Hieke) Westerhof all of The Netherlands. Friends will be received at the East Christian Reformed Church, 476 Metcalfe Street East, Strathroy on Monday, January 27th from 2-4 pm where a funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 28th at 11:00 am with Pastor Derek Bouma officiating. Interment to follow in Strathroy Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy donations to the Strathroy Community Christian School would be appreciated by the family.
