Obituary of Donald Scafe

Suddenly at home on the century farm he loved, Donald Keith Scafe passed away on Monday, February 3, 2014 in his 80th year. He leaves to mourn his wife and partner of 53 years Mary Scafe (nee Geiger). Survived by his children Michael (Claire), Nancy (Kevin) and Robert (Teresa). Loved and sadly missed by 9 grandchildren Katherine, Stephanie (Derek), Alex (Kristine), Dylan, Matthew, Melizza (Paul), Kevin, Ryan, Laura and 5 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents Martin J. Scafe (1958) and Beatrice A. Scafe (nee Garrett) (1978). Donald was an involved member of the Canadian Antique Phonograph Society, the Vintage Radio Club, Tri-County Heritage Club and the North Middlesex Historical Society. He was an avid researcher and was known to share his vast interest and knowledge to anyone who could spend some time in his presence. We all will miss him, even the pines at the campsite will find it much quieter. Cremation has taken place. Friends will be received at T. Stephenson & Son Funeral Home, 171 Main Street Ailsa Craig, on Saturday, February 8th from 1 pm until the time of the memorial service at 3 pm.
