Obituary of Anne Marie Verberne
Five years. Five years feels like a lifetime and the blink of an eye. It’s been five years since we have seen your smile, five years since we have felt your warm embrace. It’s been five years since we have heard you laugh or seen the excitement on the faces of the children when you arrive. It’s been five years since we have smelled your perfume, that ever so distinctive smell that always smelled like home. It’s been five years since we have seen you tend to your flowers or chase away the bully birds who never gave the little birds a chance to eat at the feeder. It’s been five years since we have heard your voice, always full of encouragement and love. It feels like so long since we have experienced all that is you. Yet it still feels like you will return to us one day, to bring back that wonderful peace and calm you always gave us. Five years gone, but always remembered and forever loved.
