I remember how good Freda's apple crisp was and her big family dinners that I was fortunate to be part of on occasion. I also remember her giving me a hard time about the incessant and disruptive giggling in the wee hours as Cathy and I returned from "Young People's" or wherever. She was always smiling when she spoke about it.. Dave & I offer our condolences to the entire family.

My sincerest sympathy to you Ed and to all the family. I recall the time when I stayed with you & Freda for a couple of months before I moved into the farmhouse where she had been born. Both of you cared for me so well during that time. There’s something very practical Freda taught me then which I recall with gratitude. As you know, Freda was an accomplished knitter and when she saw the mess I was making of my knitted edges she showed me how to make a clean, tidy edge on a knitted item by slipping (not working) the first stitch of every row. It might seem such a small thing but I have used that imparted knowledge almost every day for the past 31 years!

I have very fond memories of Aunt Freda. She was always busy, working and doing things, an excellent seamstress in her spare time. Her long life will provide many wonderful memories for us all.
