Obituary of Lawrence C. Buren

Peacefully, surrounded by his family at L.H.S.C-Victoria Campus on Friday, April 7, 2017; Lawrence C. Buren of Strathroy passed away in his 87th year. Beloved husband of Patricia Buren (nee Dykstra) for 56 years. Loving father of Peter (Cathy) Buren, John (Marilyn) Buren, Larry (Linda) Buren, Mike (Tammy) Buren and Cathy (Pino) Porciello. Cherished Opa of Tahne, Shawna, Brad, Derek, Craig, Travis, Daniel (Kathryn), Justin, Brooke, Kyle, Jessica and Darren. Great-grandfather of Dale and Macy. Survived by his siblings Joyce Haakman, Dora (Lambert) Smeets, Margaret Verhoeven, Trudy Lenssen and Peter (Irene) Buren. Brother-in-law of Marlies Buren. Predeceased by his siblings Ida (Jan) Schreurs, Rita (Frank) Freeman and Cays Buren, brothers-in-law Jan Haakman, Edward Verhoeven and Louis Lenssen. Friends will be received at DENNING’S OF STRATHROY on Monday, April 10th, 2017 at 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at All Saints Roman Catholic Church on Tuesday, April 11th, 2017 at 11 a.m. As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
