Obituary of Jean Leistra

Peacefully with family by her side at Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital on Tuesday, May 9, 2017, Jean Leistra (nee Venhuizen) passed away at the age of 86.  Loving wife of William “Bill” Leistra for 65 years.  Beloved mother of Diane (Cor) Pranger, John (Sylvia) Leistra, Clarence (Joanne) Leistra and Linda (Roger) Kroll.  Dear grandmother of Greg (Eloise) Pranger, Matt (Rachel) Pranger, Jennifer (Shawn) Hummel; Jason, Andrew and Nathan Leistra; Katelyn (Wes) Hamstra, Steven (Stacey) Kroll and great grandmother of Payton, Mackenna, Bradon Pranger; Korsyn, Wesley, Sheldon, Quintin Pranger; Coen, Haley, Sydney, Ethan Hummel, and Paige Hamstra.  Dearly loved by her brother, sisters and extended family in Canada and in the Netherlands.  Our dearly loved wife, mother, and grandmother is now in God's care and surrounded by His eternal love and goodness.  He has prepared a room for her in heaven.  Family and friends will be received on Friday, May 12th from 2-4 & 7-9 pm at Providence United Reformed Church, 447 Second St, Strathroy, where a funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 13th at 10:00 am with Reverend Harry Zekveld officiating.  Interment to follow in Strathroy Cemetery.  As expressions of sympathy memorial donations may be made to the Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital Foundation or to the Heart & Stroke Foundation.  Online condolences accepted at www.denning.ca
