Just came across John's obituary. So sorry to hear of his passing, he was a true gentleman.
I met John many times when he would come to Chatham. I was at Minit Lube / Q Lube / Jiffy Lube.
He would always come over to visit to say hi and talk for a few minutes.

Mark and I are deeply saddened by this news. John Brouwer loved well, lived well and gained the respect and admiration of all who had the good fortune to cross his path. We were honoured to serve him and his company and knew him to be a person of integrity, honesty and good humour. Thank you John for all the memories. He had a great knack of asking questions about your interests and all the well, you knew he was genuine and cared about you as an individual. I grew to have a great respect for a very humble man. So sorry to hear of Uncle John's passing; I'm sorry for your loss, though it is his gain! He was so very dear to my Dad; well loved and respected! And he was very generous with Dad as well :). They were so close. Today they rejoice together in the presence of their Saviour!
So glad I was able to talk with him at the reunion at cousin Audrey's! It was like seeing my dad again. I cherish fond memories of family reunions at Uncle John and Aunt Trudy's over the years, and the opportunity to reconnect with cousins I didn't see enough after moving to Cambridge:)

It was with heavy hearts that we learned of the passing of Mr Brouwer. John was an astute business man who wore his faith and the love for his dear family on his sleeve.Take comfort Trudy and family as John is with his Lord and Savior as well as his recently departed beloved sister Elizabeth , blessings.
