My mom was a lady who did not like her photo taken; I remember years ago I somehow convinced her to have this photo taken. This is the one I have always kept close to me, she hid it from everyone. But Today I will share with everyone. This beautiful woman who put everyone before herself shows just how beautiful she truly was. Us boyz saved up our money to buy you the necklace on your neck in this photo, I don't know where it is now but I know you loved it.
She and I fought a lot, and loved each other still, She should be remembered for her laugh, and even her loudness, but of course her kindness. She made clothes, blankets, and food for the poor and donated to the churches. One time she told me she would stop because of the churches stance on gay rights; and I reminded her kindness has no place for lines divided, continue to donate and be who you are. She said you're right "Jeffrey" ...
She cooked for an army, but only had a few living in the house, her ramblings on facebook that usually made no since but only because she was rushing either because she was tired or wanted to rush away to help my dad or my brothers, or nephews....
I will miss coming home and getting her all excited and mad at me for teasing and upsetting the household, only to leave to have her cry and tell me she loved me and missed me.... I'm a hard one to love, but I think she knew we both preferred to do it our own way and loved each other for each other.
You hated when I would call you Brenda instead of mom, but I did it because a son does these things to know the energy he gets back from his mother is to be told.... "told call me that, call me mom".... I love you, and I hope you left the pizza delivery numbers on the phone, because no one at that house will know how to cook without you..... <3
