Me and my family are crushed to here of Doug's passing. First we thought it unbelievable, then we wished it unbelievable, then we prayed that it was unbelievable, but as always the truth hurts this time it hurts emencely. He's one of the finest if not the finest people I have ever ment in personal private and in my work lives, don't know many that can say that, like know I can't! He is missed by use. Doug is one of those guys who has occupied a huge space in my memory as a special guy.... His sense of humor
was priceless as shown by his love for the Toronto Maple Leafs... I served as a public
servant (OPP Police Officer) in his community of Parkhill and I looked to him on how to do that(public Service) with expertise and in a manner that was caring and without conditions. I
am sure family and community suffer a huge loss....I know his memory is a huge "log" if you will, in my woodpile of
memories. Doug you are/will/and have been a tower of strength and example of all that is good.... People like you
have a special place reserved for them "On high"
