My Dad, Ken Doig, asked that I send this note of sympathy to George's family. They knew each other from playing hockey in Scotland, where my dad played for Perth Panthers. Later they played back here in Canada as the Strathroy Rockets played the Stratford Indians. Dad offers his sincere sympathy and remembers George as a great hockey player, sportsman, and gentleman.
