Obituary of Harm Gerard Heuvel

HEUVEL, Harm On February 26, 2018, after 85 years of a life well-lived, Harm left us peacefully. He leaves his wife of 60 years, Grace, his son Jack (Susan), daughter Janet, and grandchildren Nicole (Gord) and Liam to remember him; and his best friend and constant companion, his dog Lexie, to turn his pillow down each night. He will always be honorary father to his favourite Scottish lass, Kathleen (Keith). The family thanks the doctors, nurses, and staff at 1 South at SMGH - especially Sherri and Jaime – for caring for Harm (and us) in his last weeks. We hold a special appreciation for Dr. Mirsattari for always being available to provide answers when we needed them. There will be no service at this time. A gathering of family and friends will be scheduled at a later date. Donations to the University of Alberta for Creutzfeldt-Jakob research in Harm's memory would be wholeheartedly appreciated.
