Obituary of Hilbert De Roo

Hilbert De Roo at Sprucedale Care Centre on March 20, 2018 in his 88th year. Pre-deceased by his loving wife of 53 years, Henny De Roo (Steenbergen) (2006). Dear father of Mary (Jack) Beeksma of Calgary, Alberta.  Tilda (Syd) VanderHoek of St. Thomas, Jim (Reine) De Roo of Kitchener, Harry (Elaine Cote) De Roo of Merrickville, Ontario, Judy (Greg) Hager of Aniak, Alaska, Ron (Sonja) De Roo of Stouffville, Linda De Roo and Paula De Roo both of Kitchener. Sadly missed by 12 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by granddaughter Erika VanderHoek (2002). Fondly remembered by many other family members and friends in Canada and the Netherlands. Family and friends will be received on Thursday March 22, 2018 from 3-5 PM and 7-9 PM at the Strathroy East Christian Reformed Church, 476 Metcalfe St. E, where the funeral services will be held on Friday March 23, 2018 at 11 AM with Rev. Derek Bouma officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations made to the Strathroy Community Christian School would be appreciated by the De Roo family.
