Joyce Ellen Giles

Peacefully at Strathmere Lodge on Wednesday March 21, 2018 in her 90th year. Loving wife of the late Donald Giles (2009). She is survived by her son Dennis Straine-Francis (Lorna) and family of Cheshire England. Joyce was loved and will be dearly missed by family here; Joyce, Shawn, Mary Beth and Logan Phillips, Jack and Linda Giles, Deb, Dino, Rachel and Athan Tsitomeneas, Laurie, Richard, Alex and Sydney Page, Luke Giles, Julie Denning, Jayne, Roland, James and Jonathan Pratt.  Dave, Carolyn, Andrew and Liam Denning. She will be fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews, and friends at Seasons Retirement Community. She was predeceased by June and Ray Denning, Larry Phillips and her 13 siblings. 
Joyce enjoyed many years working at Strathmere Lodge and later volunteering with the Lodge Auxillary.
Joyce will be remembered for her kindness and generosity, her love for music and dancing and her countless hours spent knitting for others. In lieu of flowers donations to Strathmere Lodge Auxiliary or the charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family. Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 25^th, 2018 at DENNING’S OF STRATHROY from 2:00p.m. to 4:00p.m. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Monday, March 26^th at 11a.m. Interment to follow at Bothwell Cemetery.
