Obituary of Phyllis Erma Butler

Butler, Phyllis Erma At sunrise on March 26th, 2018 with her daughters by her side, Phyllis Erma Butler (nee Hull) peacefully passed in her 90th year. Beloved wife of 53 years to the late Dr. William Butler (2004). Loving mother of Joan and Don McQueen, Judy and John McNeill and Peggy and Clarence Graansma. Cherished grandmother of Greg (Kim) McQueen, Sara (Nathan) Hendrikx, Brent (Courtney) McQueen, Lindsay (Michael) Dodge, Amy (Jamie) Stubbs, Patrick (Janessa) McNeill, Mitch McNeill (Lisa), Derek (Andrea) Graansma, Bill Graansma, Carla Graansma. Proud great-grandmother of Reese, Aaron, Madilynn, Meredith, Elsie, Kayla, Emmalyn, Noah, Malayna and 4 expected in 2018. Survived by her sister Norma and her husband Orval Allen and brother-in-law Jack Whitteker. Predeceased by her sister Ann Whitteker (1994), her brother-in-law Ross Butler (1998) and her sister-in-law Joyce Butler (2016). Phyllis will be remembered by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Phyllis was a life member of the Strathroy Hospital Auxilliary and a faithful member of the Strathroy United Church and choir member. The family would like to thank the staff during her stay at Country Side Manor and the staff at Sprucedale Care Centre for their special attention and care. Visitation will be held on Monday, April 2nd, 2018 from 4:00p.m. to 8:00p.m. at DENNING’S OF STRATHROY. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 3rd at 11:00a.m. at the funeral home with visitation one hour prior. Interment to follow at Strathroy Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital Auxilliary or the V.O.N. Middlesex Elgin or a charity of one’s choice.
