Obituary of Dorothy Marian Medland

Peacefully on Wednesday, May 16^th, 2018 at Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital with family by her side; Dorothy Marian Medland of Strathroy passed away in her 83^rd year. Beloved wife of the late Bert Dixon (1971) and George Medland. Loving mother of Cheryl (Rick) Eggett, Jim Dixon, Doug (Amy) Dixon and Patty (Martin) Hettwer. Cherished Nana of Al Cushman, Kevin Dixon, Kyle Dixon, Doug Jr. Dixon, Alicia Hettwer and Mark Hettwer. Great-grandmother to Brandon Cushman, Alexandria Dixon and Oakley Dixon. Survived by her brother Wayne (Barb) Smith. Marian will be missed by her many nieces, nephews and her brother-in-law Harold Medland.

Predeceased by her parents Albert (1984) and Mabel (2003) Smith and her daughter Carol Ann Dixon (1956).

The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses at the Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital-ICU along with the many home care PSW’s for all their care and compassion.

Friends will be received at DENNING’S OF STRATHROY on Saturday, May 19^th, 2018 from 11 a.m. until the time of the Funeral Service at 1 p.m. Interment to follow in Poplar Hill Cemetery.
