Lydia & Family...We've just learned of Walt's passing. We send our deepest sympathy and are deeply saddened by this news. My girls loved Walt
and to this day still consider you both as "grandparents". He was the best neighbour, best mechanic, best person I ever knew. Someone to count on, rely on, trust, admire, listen to, laugh with, learn from and follow. God blessed my family by making us Carrie St neighbours and lifelong friends. He was "Uncle Walt" to the kids in our family, as per the Dutch tradition.
He was the fun loving adult of our youth, complete with a dune buggy at Ipperwash.
He and Lydia suffered deeply in life and somehow turned that into a testament of joy. A class act all the way.

The first Sunday we were in Collingwood CRC and attended church Pastor Walt was at our door at 2:00 that afternoon. Pastor Walt was a very caring people person.
