Obituary of Aafke Graansma

Peacefully, with her family at her side on Tuesday September 18, 2018.  Aafke Graansma of Strathroy at the age of 88.  Beloved wife of 64 years, the late Folkert Graansma (2018). Aafke and Folkert were married in Canada on April 9, 1954.  Dear mother of Clarence (Peggy) of London and their children Derek (Andrea), Bill, Carla; John of Appin and his children Heather and Michelle; Patricia Koster of Palmerston and her children Marlene (Nick) and Donna; Diana Okkema (Mark) of Chatham and their children Rachael, Darren (Trish), Daniel and Andrew (Jennifer); Annette Keay of Strathroy and her children Donnie (Andrea) and Miranda (David); Janet Butts (Charlie) of Strathroy and their children Christina (Shawn) and Joseph and Jerry (Susan) of Chatham.

Survived by 19 great grandchildren. Also survived by her siblings; Janna (Gerrit) Graansma, Jantje (the late Jerry) Vander Meer, Wes (Mary) Zwart, Sylvia (the late Bert) DenHartog, Hilda Devries, Linda (the late Don) Klinker, Diane (Frank) Dam and the late Albert and Peter Zwart.  

Visitation will take place at the Strathroy East Christian Reformed Church, 476 Metcalfe St. East, on Thursday, September 20^th, 2018 from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm where the funeral service will take place on Friday at 10 am. Interment to follow at Strathroy Cemetery.
