Obituary of Albertwin Piers

PIERS, BERT (WWII VETERAN)

At Parkwood Hospital, London on Sunday, November 18^th, 2018.  Bert Piers of Strathroy at the age of 94.

Predeceased by his wife Ruby Piers (2012).

Survived by his step son Bill Patten (Eleanor) of Strathroy, his grandsons Lance (Carrie) and their children Sydney and Makenna, William Jr. (Kirsten) and their children Noah and Brett, and his granddaughter Valerie Patten and her children Dustin, Ruby (Marcus) and Madilyn.

Survived by many nieces and nephews, many at home where Bert grew up in Nova Scotia.

Predeceased by his siblings Blanche, Dorothy, Janet, Beatrice, Frances, Arnold, George and Elizabeth, Wathan, and Rhodes.

Visitation will be held at DENNING’S OF STRATHROY on Friday, November 23^rd, 2018 from 6 – 8 pm.  Royal Canadian Legion, Sir Arthur Currie Branch 116 will conduct a memorial service in honour of Bert at 6:30 pm. 

Funeral service will take place on Saturday at 11 am.  Interment at Oxford Memorial Park cemetery.
