I had the unique opportunity to be included in my mother-in-law Julia Prohaszka and Kay Wardell's ladies lunch group. It was my honor to be there with in this unique group of women who had been getting together some of them for sixty years. Kay heavily influenced my love of politics and the liberal party. The fondest times I remember is sitting in one of Julia's pea fields eating peas with Julie and Kay. This is a prayer that gave me comfort and I wish to share it with Kay's family. Though Kay's friend Julia can not be there I know in my heart that she sends her love as well.
GOD our Father.
You're power brings us to birth.
You're providence guides our lives.
And by your command we return to dust
LORD,
Those who die still live in your presence
Their lives change but do not end
I pray and hope for my family, relatives and friends
And for all the dead known to you alone
In company with Christ who died and now lives
May they all rejoice in His kingdom
where tears are wiped away
Unite us together again, one family forever to sing his praise
forever and ever
