Carolyn and family, I was so sad to hear the news - Carlyle was a great man - one of the kindest and most patient men I've ever known. He was so good to my Mom and I will never forget all that you both have done for her. It means so much to me. I loved helping him help my Mom with her "projects" because I always loved to make him laugh. Dear Marion and Alan, Amy and Rebecca I share in your sadness. Carlyle was one of my very dearest friends. He opened his heart and his home to me and I knew that I was always welcome. I think he took great delight in the closeness that Carolyn and I share. He always said that the action always doubled when he had to be involved with both of us together. Carolyn and I just laughed and said, "But of course." I don't think that there was anyone who met him who didn't like him. . He was one of the very best people that has ever walked this earth. Dearest Carolyn and Sharon and Allan and Families, our most sincere condolences for the passing of Carlyle. We pray for comfort for your memories of a loving husband, father and grandfather. We fondly remember his chuckle and smile and generous gift of concern and a listening ear and interest in our news! We so enjoyed our time building the church garden together and our visits to catch-up throughout the years! Carlyle will be missed for his gentleman manners and obvious love for everything family. He leaves us with fond tales of history and hard work from the tough years, along with memories of delight in recalling grand times growing up and family and friends from car rallies and church. Rest now Carlyle, free of pain and concern until we meet again.
