To Jack’s family in Holland, his Aerts family here and his friends everywhere, I offer my sincere condolences for our shared loss of a special man who meant so much to each of us. Jack greatly contributed to enhancing our lives with his intelligent insight and vast knowledge of practically any subject you you could raise with him. However for most of us, who were fortunate to call Jack friend, simply spending time with this unique man was a gift. Jack was also an accomplished pilot in his younger years and at one time he owned and flew a Beechcraft T-34 Mentor, a US military trainer aircraft, off his farm. As a fellow pilot Jack and I had much in common with our love of aviation. Right to my very last visit with Jack, a month ago, he could still surprise me with his personal flying stories that I had never heard from him before. Now Jack has “flown West” and thankfully he leaves us with great memories of his exceptional life lived in that special way as only he could. Your being here made a big difference in our lives Jack, we will miss you terribly.
