A little bird told me of your loss, I knew I must say something. I will be thinking of you especially Carl. I know you will miss your dad terribly.
So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created them;
GENESIS chapter #1 verse 27
I have studied both sides of the great discussion of Science vs. God.
Everything that was created then is still here now.
The image of God is Spiritual and so the image of your father whom God created is immortal and thus still with us. Why We cant see or hear them is for God to know.
Be assured though, because of great advancements in human knowledge, we know that the energy and essence of Mr. Lightfoot is alive and well in the universe.

Mel was a genuinely nice man and I can honestly not remember him having anything negative to say about anyone. What an example he lived. Brenda, Maureen and I are, as always, just a phone call away.

I just remember Uncle Mel being larger than life. So tall and always laughing, I can still hear him laugh. I remember Uncle Mel would come over and Jacqui and I would play with Denny, Carl & Gordie, I remember hanging out with the boys so vividly. I can still remember I think one of the last times Jeff and I visited with Uncle Mel and Aunt Brenda at their house before we got married and we did not want to leave we were having so much fun. I think we may have played a game that part I don't remember, but the feeling of totally having the best time still is in my heart. I remember he looked like Elvis and it was fun looking back at old pictures of him with the long side burns and the big hair. I remember he had this really cool van and came over with it to Poppa and Granny's and it had like a bed in the back and music...ha! I am so glad we got to go and visit Uncle Mel when we were home this summer. RIP Uncle Mel, give Poppa and Granny a big hug for us.
