Opa was always kind, vibrant, full of life and joy. This was the last time me and Kaitlyn seen OPA before his passing on his 91 birthday. We've never laughed so much and cried so much that day. He thought he adopted me Lol. He couldn't remember who I was. Hahaha. He truly showed the importance of family and made sure I was welcome and always said your one of us now. Your part of the family. We love you OPA. Thank you for all the great memories from our visits with you, our chinese dinners, your words of wisdom, chicken stories, time in Indonesia, canoe trips and most importantly your presence. We'll miss you! Blessed to have met someone special like you! Love you OPA!!!

Sending our love, and a couple of pictures. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family right now. Sending our condolences to all of you.
Opa was a great man and his life deserves to be celebrated. He's done so many things in his life, that he leaves a hard legacy to live up too. From helping families in need through Salvation Army, to simply being there for every one of his grandchildrens' birthdays or christmas' .The man had a heart of gold, and wasn't afraid to show it. Always included everyone making sure no one felt left out. Also prepared the family to the best of his ability to weather the storm of this life we live. Always a phone call away wouldn't hesitate to help with anything he could. I will forever be proud to call you Opa.

Dear family,
First of all, our condolences on lose your father en grandfather.
I think back to our weeks with him in Canada where he introduced us to the whole family there.
The times he was with us in Holland and told me abaut his childhood and family, often stories I did not know yet.
I especially think back to him as a man with a lot of life experience, someone, even if he was far away, always had and will always have a place in my heart.
Uncle Nick, thank you fot everything.

Dear John & Carolyn,
Visiting with you on numerous occasions over the years and having Nick join us for dinner was such a pleasure!! Nick was such a great example of the "great generation" with old fashioned ideals. He was always so robust and young-at-heart.
You were very fortunate to have him close by for so long and Nick was a very lucky man to be part of a loving family!
Jim and I send our heartfelt condolences.

My sincere condolences to the family of my uncle Nick. He truly was a man with a heart of solid Gold.
My best memory of uncle Nick, was when he took cousin John and I fishing in a canoe. He knew that his older brother Hank was terrified of water and realized that I may never experience the truly Canadian Adventure of fishing from a canoe and drifting downstream.
I will miss him with all of my heart.

John, Carolyn, Reed, Taylor, Liv and family, we are very sorry for your loss of Opa. I feel privileged to have got to know him over the years. Many little chats with him, while he was sitting on his porch, when I’d pull into your driveway. Was happy to have joined in for a couple of Opas dinners and funny family stories. You all were lucky to have him so close over the years, as was he lucky to have you guys. I know he will be missed by many! Cheers to Opa Nick Froklage!

Dear family,
We would all like to offer you our sincere condolences for the loss of your father, father-in-law, grandfather, grandpa, uncle and friend of many. It will be a lasting and great loss for many!
Our memories of Uncle Nick are warm and loving. We have received him many times in our house and then the 2 Nicks went for a lovely drive around the area and reminisce about many memories, especially along the farms in the area. My husband Nick comes from farmers and therefore knew many acquaintances and farmers in the area where they could just walk in to drink a cup of coffee and chat! He was previously employed (from the age of 12) next to the farm of my husband and his parents and thus knew the whole Van Adrichem family.
We enjoyed the weeks in Canada where we were invited by Uncle Nick and he showed us a lot of his / your surroundings and we could meet all the family. Unforgettable weeks!
Strength to all of you and lots of love from Mieke and Nico van Adrichem-Froklage

Dear family,
What a sad news! :( I am so sorry that Corona messed up my plans to visit my dear uncle and family last June and that I didn’t have the courage earlier to book a trip to Canada; I probably will always regret that. I loved his yearly visits to Holland that he made untill 2016. Herewith a picture of us in 2011.
Hopefully he is together now with all his loved ones, including my dad (Dré) and my dear brother Herman who I still miss very much.
I will never forget that uncle Nick was with us in Holland when my dad died (1986) en also nearly when Herman died; he left 4 days in front of that. It felt like a dejavu with 30 years in between.
When my dad went ill (and we didn’t know yet how bad it was), uncle Nick called us and said: I am coming over over to Holland tomorrow for two weeks. We kept is as a surprise for my dad but he felt it. They had a very special bond. <3 Just like uncle Nick felt that he had to go to Holland directly; no one expected that it went so fast with the illness of my dad but uncle Nick flew back on the day of the funeral, exactly two weeks after he came to Holland. This can’t be a coincedence. And neither that he was here when Herman was in his last weeks. It only can be fate I think.
I had to think about that too when it went wrong with the health of uncle Nick; he fell on the day that I was supposed to fly back to Holland (July 1st); how bizar.
Rest in peace dear uncle Nick and please give a big hug to my dear dad and brother.
I wish you all a lot of strenght to deal with this big loss and will follow the funeral online.
Sweet regards,
Wilma Froklage

To me known as ome Niek. Cousin of my Dad (Jan Mooiman) and husband of my moms (Thea Tangel) sister.
Kinda mysterious man who came to visit us every now and than, from Canada, wearing big gym shoes with his suit. He would never let us pay him dinner, he always paid for our whole family. Kind man, lots of stories, definitly a family man.
Wish I had known him better.
Fair well ome Niek.

I will forever miss Nicholas Froklage, aka my Opa. I will miss the incredibly tight bear hugs he'd give everytime we'd say hello and goodbye. I will miss his booming joyous laugh that would always bring a smile to my face and his positivity that would turn every gathering into a party. I will miss the way he'd always make a point of pulling me aside to have a one on one talk with me, giving me life advice, or enlightening me with a story and/or history lesson, or reminding me of the importance of family. There are countless little things I will miss about my Opa. He was such a positive, wise, hardworking and thoughtful man. His dedication to his family and friends is admirable and inspiring. I truly regret not being able to see him one last time due to the pandemic but I know that he loved me and I'm sure he knew that I loved him too.
Rest in peace, Opa. I hope you've reconnected with Oma, Tony, MaryAnn and all your friends on the other side and I hope you are watching down on us with love.
Love always,
Nicholas Lefebvre
