On Tuesday, January 5, 2021, Nick Froklage passed away peacefully in his 92nd year at Sprucedale Care Centre with family by his side.  Predeceased by his wife Engelina Froklage (2002), son Tony (Fiona) Froklage (2016) and daughter MaryAnn Watt (2020).  Dear father of Rita (Paul) Lefebvre of Durham, Peter Froklage of Vancouver, BC,  Paul (Nancy) Froklage of Kitchener and John (Carolyn) Froklage of Strathroy.  Loving Opa of Lisa (Matt) Wood of Kitchener, Marc (Stephanie) Lefebvre of Durham, Nic (Nora) Lefebvre of Winnipeg, MB,  Adam Lefebvre of Durham, Chelsea (Tom) McGarry of Maple Ridge, BC, Kaleb (Christine) Harris of Vernon, BC, Shannon Froklage of Vancouver, BC, Kaitlyn (Christian) Navarro of Guelph, Cory (Lois) Froklage of Guelph, Steve (Stephanie) Shepley of Cambridge, Danny (Lindsay) Shepley of Cambridge, Lacey Shepley of Woodstock, Natasha (Matt) Oliver of Algonquin Highlands, Reed (Chelsea) Froklage of Calgary, AB, Taylor (Alexis) Froklage of Strathroy, Olivia Froklage of Strathroy.  Nick was loved by his 11 great grandchildren. He will be sadly missed by his extended family in Canada, Australia, United States and Netherlands. 

Nick immigrated with his wife to Canada when they were just married. His love of farming steered him to have a career in managing a chicken farm with Shaver Poultry Farms in Cambridge for 36 years.  He was dedicated and committed to any undertaking whether it was his work, family or church.  His jovial laugh and heart of gold were traits that made him not only a loving father and Opa, but a great neighbour and friend to anyone he encountered. 

A private Visitation will take place at DENNING’S OF STRATHROY on January 8th, 2021. A private family Funeral Service will take place on January 9th, 2021 with Interment to follow at Mount View Cemetery in Cambridge.
