Obituary of Cecil Johnson
Edwin Cecil Johnson passed away peacefully in his sleep June 20, 2022 after a wonderful Father’s Day weekend visiting with most of his children and grandchildren.
He is sorrowfully missed by his wife and longtime companion Deb and children Frank, Laura (mother of Kaeden, Isaak, Jaxsen, Carter, Cale and Paisleigh-Rose), Jordan (father of Phillip), Karl (father of Damian and Zain) and Michael at home. Especially missed by Damian and Kaeden (at home).
Predeceased by his parents Robert and Kathleen, grandparents Merritt and Florence and sister Sheila. Proud brother of Bob (Pam), Dorothy “Jean” (the late Byron), Margaret, Edith “Josephine” (Hal), Merritt (Julie), and Rosemarie ( Merv). Also loved and missed by stepmother Rose and parents in law Diane and David Snyder.
After his transplant in 1983 he recovered and went on to own and operate CJ’s Towing. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, working on cars and many other activities.
Above all, Cecil was a proud family man who enjoyed spending time with his children and was the world’s greatest “Papa “ to his grandchildren.
Despite his long illness, he was an amazing man who worked hard, played hard and loved hard. He gave of himself for all of us.
Words cannot express the sense of deep loss that his wife, children, grandchildren, family and friends feel.
A special thank you to the Dialysis Unit for all their care and compassion.
He was a great man who lived with joy and excitement. He will be forever loved and missed by all.
“Shine on Cecil”
You will not be forgotten
