Obituary of Kenneth R Herrington

HERRINGTON Kenneth R. Herrington passed peacefully at home into the loving arms of his Lord and Savior on October 31st, 2016 with his loving family at his side in his 70th year. He leaves behind the love of his life and best friend of almost 52 years Marilyn (Braithwaite) and his loving sons Jamie and Michael (Sandra). Ken will be sadly missed by his cherished grandchildren Dayna Herrington (Drew) and Jodie Herrington and their mother Jayne, Paige Herrington (Kyle), Cassie Herrington (Jordan) and Jarrett Herrington. He also leaves behind his darling great grandchildren Lexie and Ryker. Dear brother of Bernice Collins, Marie Chisan, Roy Herrington, Donna Mader, Sharon Wilson and Linda Herrington. Loved and respected by many nieces, nephews and friends. Predeceased his parents Don and Mabel Herrington, brothers Douglas and James Herrington and his sister Betty Steele. Ken touched many lives through his profession as a long term care administrator, his community and his Christian outreach. Ken persevered in all aspects of what he did and constantly challenged himself and the people around him to be better. Visitation will be held at DENNING’S OF STRATHROY on Wednesday, Nov. 2nd, 2016 from 7-9 pm and Thursday from 2-4 pm. A funeral service will be held on Friday at Bethel Baptist Church, Strathroy at 11 am. Interment Strathroy cemetery.
