Hi
I just found out that Jim has passed away
He was a wonderful person and a great JP
I had the pleasure of testifying many times in London Provincial Court as a member of the Ontario Provincial Police
Jim would always ask me how I spelled my last name as he did with all other police officers for the court.
My deepest sympathy and condolences to the Zavitz family...
Yours truly
Glen ZAVITZ

Words can never properly convey the loss we're feeling since Jim's passing. He was a wonderful, caring, kind, generous gentleman who would do absolutely anything for anyone. We have many special memories of him at the London Court House. He would never forget your birthday. He and Shirley always sent out the first Christmas card every year. One of the things I will miss forever is his special saying, "do you feel like a coffee?" and we'd go next door to Garibaldi's and enjoy his company for a few minutes.
Sincere sympathy to Shirley and the extended family.
Rest In Peace, Jim.
Luv, Gail Allen

We were so sorry to hear of Jim's passing. I had the pleasure of working with Jim at the Courthouse for a number of years and have wonderful memories of Jim's stories of his family and friends and his days with the RCMP. He will be greatly missed. We also had the privilege of having the same first and last name as Jim and Shirley which caused laughter and confusion to some people when we were in the same place at the same time.
Our hearts go out to Jim's family at this difficult time.
Shirley & Jim Zavitz (the other ones)

I am a retired RCMP member of the London RCMP Veterans Association. I have read Jim's book about his time in the RCMP etc and found it most infomative.
I certainly will rembert Jim. He joined our Wednesday coffee hours in the past and I always enjoyed talking to this gentleman. Jim will be missed.
He told me the story how he met and married his lively wife Shirley.
May Jim rest in peace.
